The Electrical Equipment Editor (3E) is a powerful standalone application built on .NET technologies using C# and SQL, designed to streamline the creation, editing, placement, and management of conduits on the top and bottom of electrical equipment. Its intuitive interface reduces manual data entry and significantly increases team productivity across leading BIM platforms (Revit).
Electrical Equipment Editor (3E) works seamlessly with our Constellation Data Management System (CDMS) via SQL Server, which enables loading of Definition Files — project-specific datasets that specify all required conduit types, sizes and other crucial parameters, safe zones for equipment sections, and overall electrical equipment geometry.
Once the equipment geometry and conduit layout are finalized, the output file is transferred to Constellation Layout — Electrical (CLE), where the full layout is assembled and subsequently generated as native Revit elements via our Constellation Revit — Electrical (CRE) Revit Add-In.
This end-to-end workflow guarantees full project consistency, eliminates manual errors, and drastically reduces the time required to produce large volumes of Revit content.
Electrical professionals using 3E are not required to have any knowledge of Revit — our intelligent algorithms automatically transform the complete layout and its embedded data into native Revit elements, accurately and in a fraction of the time of a human operator.
Conduit placement rules, clearances, and other project-specific requirements can be defined within 3E to enforce project compliance automatically.
